Sum-body's Birthday!

For Summer's birthday, we rode our bikes to the local ice cream shop with Nana and Papa, got some ice cream, rode on to the duck pond at the cemetery, and then went home for Summer's favorite dinner: spaghetti. Cake, presents and general happiness followed.

Skydiving

Jonathan finally took the plunge yesterday.  It was a beautiful 80+ degree day with fluffy white clouds in the sky.  He went up with his friend Caleb and two professional skydivers, fell out of the plane with the owner of Central Maine Skydiving strapped to his back, buzzed through those fluffy white clouds and then peacefully floated back down to earth where we waited.  However, I don't think Jonathan ever really came back to earth as he is still dazedly high from his experience. :)

"SURREAL."

As soon as we began to approach him after his landing he yelled out, "IT WAS UNBELIEVABLE!"  He can't stop talking about it.  I'm pretty sure he's addicted now.

And what did the kids think of it?  Summer ran up to him and jumped into his arms asking, "When I'm bigger, like when I'm ten, can I do that?"  Dylan also wants to know when he can "jump out of an airport with you, Daddy?"  Saveia wants to do it as soon as she can too.  (Olivia and Owen were at the beach with our friends the Smith's and were unable to give their opinions.)  I'm thinking I just might do it too, some day.

Making Use of Our Parks Pass

Owen's hermit crab resort.

Zoey's personal pool.

Dylan "sharing" the private pool

Olivia and hermit crabs she caught while floating around in the water.

I was there too.

Cool Kids, Hot Summer

Even with the temperature climbing sooo high last week, Dylan still manages to look super cool, even with his sister's Strawberry Shortcake helmet.

I know everyone laughs with their mouths open, but not like Zoey.  She cranks that sucker open and keeps it locked!

Almost creepy.  You look like the Joker, Zozo.

Saveia grabs an empty foam ice cream cone case from the recycling bin to "make it into an alligator."

Oh, Owen taught Summer how to ride her bike.

Laughing with her mouth wide open...

The iphone is awesome, but I don't take as many pictures as I did with my camera.  Where is that camera anyway?  (Heidi, you better send me some photos!  ;)

It was glorious and quick.  Come back to visit us again soon.  We'll make sure it's just as sunny!
