Happy Easter

So, we barely eked out the Easter Egg Extravaganza of Pigmentation...but we did make it happen.  We had to forgo quiet time that day, but it was worth it.  The kids are currently in hard-boiled egg heaven.

On Easter Sunday, our friends the Tedder's (minus Doug who was enjoying PAX with some friends) came over for a simple lunch and an Easter Egg Hunt.  Jonathan hid about 70 eggs around the house and in the back yard.  The kids found about 60 of them.

Here is Jonathan scouting out any eggs that had been left behind.  I think he helped them find about 10 more.

Weekends and Week Beginnings

We had an awesomely busy weekend; the kind full of friends and fun.  I appreciate hard-work weekends, but every now and then its just good to party it up.
Good conversation.  Wish more could have joined.

Can't fall asleep because the siblings are making too much noise playing on the Kinect...guess it's time for strawberries.

Terrible photo, but it's of Oli diving at the far end of the pool.

Jonathan playing foosball with 4 out of 6 of the kids.
Our week has started as normal.  Lots of planning to do for the summer, but that's still a few months away.  For now we'll focus on the regular routine...a healthy balance of work and play.
Savvers rockin' out the worksheets.

Angry Birds "before" iPhones.

Blocks...

...and rubberbands.

An afternoon piled on the couch, reading ALL together.
That is the most precious thing of all...
