Rod's Go for a Ride in the Pfaff Lane

Our dear friends Brandon and Alex and their two adorable boys came to visit us, right in the middle of the chicken pox.  We'd been planning and looking forward to it so much...but is chicken pox ever "convenient"?  We managed to have a little bit of fun throughout the ordeal, but I didn't take many pictures because my little models were so mottled with the pox.  Here is a quick and blurry view of the week the Rod's took a ride in our lane.

Alex trying to wrap her mind around the challenge that Chicken Pox is.  JK, she's just waiting to sing happy bday to J.

Brandon and Jack in the spirit of Birthday!

"Hope it's chocolate for me!"

Well, it is chocolate.  But nothing fancy.  I'm too exhausted from taking care of sick kids for two weeks.
So, I had this idea, which turned out to be a terrible idea, that we go out for lunch together, for Jonathan's birthday, since we were downtown already, picking up birth certificates for our babies born in the last two years.  We should have done a better job calculating when each of the kids would need to have a rest, since it turned out that they all needed a rest at lunchtime.

Brandon and Jonathan deciding that taking tired kids to a restaurant is worse than waterboarding.

Yes, Happy Birthday Jonathan.

Thank goodness it didn't rain the entire time they were here!  At least we got to go to the beach.

Jack trying to get Zoey to smile?

I love this next set.  Pay particular attention to Zoey's face.
